Abstract
This study examined the problems and prospects of broadcast media management in Nigeria, with a specific focus on Amuludun F.M, Ibadan. The research aimed to identify management challenges confronting the station and assess the prospects for improved performance. Using a survey research design, 150 respondents were drawn from five key departments of Amuludun F.M. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using simple percentages. Findings revealed that ownership influence, inadequate staffing, poor funding, and infrastructural constraints are major challenges of media management. However, prospects exist through training and retraining of personnel, adoption of modern management techniques, and charismatic leadership. The study concludes that effective media management is critical for operational success and sustainability in the Nigerian broadcast sector. It recommends that government and media owners should invest in managerial capacity building, ensure autonomy in content production, and improve funding mechanisms to enhance productivity.
