Influence of Internet Advert on the Patronage of Food Stuff Among Staff of Federal Polytechnic, Offa

This study examined the influence of internet advert on the patronage of food stuff among staff of Federal Polytechnic, Offa. In conducting this study, five objectives were set specifically to examine whether advertising is an effective tool for patronage of food stuff among staff of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, to examine if the percentage of staff of Federal Polytechnic exposed to advert, to study whether advertising has impacted on patronage of food stuff among staff of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, to examine if food stuff advertising campaign influence buying habit of staff of federal Polytechnic, Offa and to examine if food stuff advertising deceives people to buy food stuff in wholesales. Questionnaire was the instrument used in gathering data. The study found that Majority of the respondents agreed they were exposed to internet and have high level of exposure. In fact, some of the respondents agreed that they patronize a particular food stuff advert due to its advertisement on internet and also, the respondents described the food stuff advert they have come across on internet as emotional, inspirational, entertaining etc. It was concluded that advertising has been of immense benefit humanity and contributed in no small measure rapid industrialization and expansion processes all over the world. It has contributed in making the world a better place to live in and the study recommended that the government and corporate organizations need to focus on the provision of the internet infrastructure, encourage computer education, and consistently create awareness on the benefits involved in the use of the internet for commercial purposes at affordable rate.
