Abstract
This project is focused on the design and construction of an automatic white board cleaning mechanism aimed at reducing the time and effort required for manual cleaning. The primary goal was to replace the use of belt with chain bringing about a valuable effectiveness. The key components being used for this project are the white board, DC motor, battery, chains, sprocket, angle bars, bearing, wires and switch. When implemented the system successfully demonstrated its capabilities in which the result of the average time of the duster to move horizontally forward and backward is 11 and 14 seconds consecutively, the average velocity of the duster to clean the board horizontally backward and forward is 55.50 and 43.72mm consecutively and the average of the distance of the duster to clean the board horizontally forward and backward is 610mm given a cleaning area capacity of 148.84m/s. this work gives the transformative potential of innovative technology by offering ease of transfer of knowledge from the lecture to the student where by reducing time and effort required.
