Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the relationship between event perceived value and participant happiness among attendees of age group festivals in Etsako Wext, Edo State. A survey of 300 participants across three age groups (18-25, 26-40, and 41-60) revealed that event perceived value significantly influences participant happiness. Rexults show that the 26-40 age group reported the highest event perceived value and happiness, while the 18-25 age group reported the lowest. The study also found that cultural significance, social interaction, and entertainment value are key determinants of event perceived value. The findings provide insights for event organizers and stakeholders in Etsako West, highlighting the importance of tailoring age group festivals to meet the diverse needs and preferences of different age groups, thereby enhancing participant happiness and overall event success. Based on the findings, here are some recommendations to enhance event perceived value and participant happiness across age groups in a festival setting, diversify entertainment options to cater to different age groups, such as live music, comedy shows, and interactive activities, encourage social sharing through interactive installations and photo opportunities.
