Antibacterial Activities of Palm Kernel Oil on E. Coli, Shigella Spp and Other Bacteria Isolated from Stool of Patient Attending General Hospital, Ekpoma

Abstract
The study investigated the effect of the oil on bacteria such as E. coli, Shigella spp., and Vibrio cholerae. The study used an agar well diffusion method to test the antibacterial activity of palm kernel oil. The palm kernel oil showed a high antibacterial effect against E. coli and Shigella spp. at 100%, 50%, and 25% concentrations.
