The Role of Business Education in the Growth of Entrepreneurship in Akwa Ibom State (a Study of Select Small and Medium Entreprises in Uyo L.g.a)

Abstract
This study was designed to examine the role of business education growth to entrepreneurship in Akwa Ibom State using select small and medium scale enterprises in Uyo L.G.A as the case study. The research design adopted for the study was a descriptive method. Data were collected using survey, research sampling technique from where 4000 respondents were picked for the study. Chi-square (X2) method was used in testing the hypotheses. And simple percentages (%) were used to analyze the study. It was revealed that business education enabled entrepreneurs to acquire the necessary skills and techniques to successfully handle various business operations in Akwa Ibom State. It is recommended that governments and other stakeholders in the state should help in providing basic facilities to enhance the teaching and learning of business education.
