Abstract
Anaemia is a common condition among pregnant women, characterized by a decrease in the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin levels in the blood. It can have serious consequences for both the mother and the developing fetus if left untreated.In order to address this issue, it is important for pregnant women to have knowledge and awareness about the condition, as well as to engage in preventive practices. The objective of this study is to assess the Knowledge, awareness, and preventive practices against anaemia among pregnant women attending antenatal clinics in Ilorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State. The research employed a descriptive cross-sectional design, with a sample of 470among pregnant women attending antenatal clinics the target demographic. The data was collected by the utilization of a self administered structured questionnaire and subsequently subjected to analysis employing fundamental statistical techniques, including frequencies, percentages, and chi-square analysis.
