Abstract
This research titled “optimization of campus network using traffic engineering and routing optimization techniques” explores the broader implications of utilizing optimization techniques on network performance, employing packet tracer for comprehensive simulations. The study conducts a comparative analysis between network configurations implementation to assess the impact on crucial performance metrics, including throughput and latency. Various application types, such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP), HTTP, and Constant Bit Rate (CBR), are analyzed to gauge the effects on diverse network traffic. Through an extensive statistical analysis, the study identifies patterns of performance degradation associated with packet tracer use and suggests strategies for mitigating these impacts. The findings offer valuable insights for network administrators, IT professionals, and small business owners aiming to balance the need for secure communications with optimal network performance. This research contributes to the broader understanding of packet tracer in contemporary network management and security practice.
