Abstract
This study offer recommendation on the best way of improving the production process of sugar in Dangote Sugar Refinery by evaluate the impact of
moisture content on the quality of sugar produced in a manufacturing setting.
By analyzing various stages of sugar production from raw materials, the effectiveness of in-process quality checks the final sugar product, so that it aligns
with national and international standards concerning moisture content. The
information or data collected on the moisture content from 2018 to 2023 was
utilized, to know whether the quality of sugar produced by Dangote sugar company Numan conforms to the Nigerian industrial standard (NIS). R packages
were used to construct the control chart for the study variables
¯
X
, R, and S
charts were used to determine the process average and spread, respectively. It
was discovered that Dangote Sugar Refinery Numam , production was under
statistical control.
