The Effects of Fuel Subsidy Removal on Nigerians Standards of Living

Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study examines the effects of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerian’s standard of living in Sokoto in which 50 residents were randomly selected in Sokoto North L/G for the purpose of the study. The instrument used to collect the data was questionnaire which contained ten questions. Data collected was dully analyzed with the help of chi-square. and, it was deduced from this study that increase in fuel pump price which is the immediate effect of fuel subsidy removal has a detrimental effect on the standard of living of the people, as fuel is essential for the transportation of major commodities, such as agricultural produce and other market product in Nigeria
