Abstract
This study presents a nuanced examination of the repercussions of petroleum subsidy removal on the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) shuttle operation, with a balanced focus on both students and shuttle operators. Leveraging data from primary and secondary sources, meticulously processed through the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 26, the research delves into economic, operational, and social dimensions. In assessing the economic impact, the study scrutinizes the financial implications for students, considering changes in the cost structure of FUT Minna shuttle services. Simultaneously, it investigates the effects on shuttle operators, recognizing their role in the transport system and financial sustainability. Operational efficiency is evaluated through a lens that acknowledges the interdependence between students and shuttle operators, ensuring a holistic understanding of how both parties adapt to the changes post-subsidy removal. Furthermore, the study explores the social implications for both students and shuttle operators, shedding light on the nuanced dynamics of cost of living and income distribution within the university community. The findings from this research are designed to offer a balanced perspective, providing actionable insights for policymakers, transportation administrators, students, and shuttle operators. Recommendations was tailored to address the unique challenges faced by each group, fostering a sustainable and equitable approach to navigating the impacts of petroleum subsidy removal on FUT Minna shuttle operations
