Cashless Policy and Its Implications in the Nigerian Economy

Abstract
The aim of this research is to assess the effectiveness of mobile payment as a solution to the implementation of the cashless policy in Nigeria. With the increasing adoption of mobile devices and the push towards a cashless society, mobile payment systems have emerged as a potential solution to enhance financial transactions and reduce reliance on cash. This study will investigate the current state of mobile payment adoption in Nigeria, examine the factors influencing its effectiveness, and evaluate its impact on the implementation of the cashless policy. Primary source of data was used and 40 respondents were sampled for the study. A random sampling method was used for selecting the sample in the research work and 5-liker scale questionnaires were also used to gather and obtain relevant information from the sample. The information gathered was interpreted and analyzed using simple percentage method and thereby helped the research work to actualize its objectives. The research findings eventually revealed that mobile payment is a solution to the implementation of the cashless policy in Nigeria. Several recommendations
