Impact of Motivation on Staff Productivity in the Cross River Broadcasting Corporations

Abstract
This study was designed to examine the impact of motivation as it affects workers’ productivity in Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC), Calabar. To achieve the above stated objective, a research hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between motivation and staff productivity in the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC), Calabar was formulated. To test the hypothesis, data was generated via the research instrument (questionnaire) and subjected to a chi-square statistical analysis at 630.49 calculated chi-square (x2) a 0.05 level of significance. Results from data analyzed revealed that there is a significant relationship between motivation and staff productivity in the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation (CRBC), Based on data analyzed and the research findings, the study has the following recommendations: That management of modern organization should do all they could to motivate their workers as a sure-way to maximum productivity.
