Abstract
Farming, a crucial element of human civilization, has adapted over time to address
societal and environmental needs. Livestock management, a key component of
agriculture, has evolved throughout history, prompting this review to assess
contemporary systems and their roles in global livelihoods. With a growing demand for
livestock products driven by an expanding industry, there is a pressing need for
innovative approaches to replace outdated manual systems.
Livestock plays a vital role in providing sustenance, income, and cultural significance
globally, requiring careful attention to maximize its contribution to human welfare. The
increasing demand necessitates a shift from labor-intensive methods to more efficient
and sustainable practices. This review explores the changing landscape of livestock
management, examining the integration of advanced techniques to enhance
productivity, reduce environmental impacts, and meet the rising demands of a growing
population.
By addressing key questions about the modernization of livestock management, this
study contributes to the ongoing discussion on the future of agriculture in our rapidly
changing world.
