Social Media Platforms and Organizational Efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic

This research examine Social Media Platforms and Organizational Efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, the objectives of the study was to examine the level of usage of social media platforms on organizational efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic and to achieve this objective, the following research questions were formulated: what are the level of usage of social media platforms on organizational efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic and what are the challenges of social media platform on organizational efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic? The research anchor on selectivity theory, a sample size of 384 was drawn out from the total population of 842 staff of the institution through Meyer method. Findings also gathered that Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic engage in social media platform on organizational efficiency. Based on the findings the study concluded that Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic engage in social media platform on organizational efficiency and social media platform influence organizational efficiency in Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic. To this end, the study recommends that the management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic should create a suitable website where information about academic activities of the school can be easily accessed and staff and students should mostly use social media for academic purpose to improve their academic performance.
