Effect of Value Chain on the Profitability of Manufacturing in Cross River State.

Abstract
This study examined the impact of value chain analysis on the profitability of selected manufacturing firms in cross river state. Nigeria. The study became necessary an a profound change in understanding the dynamics of competite advantage and profitability. Primary data was used The study employed a survey research design. The population was mole up af selected companies Cross River State. Questionnaires we're used to collect releva information. Quantitative analysis was used to analyze the data obtained Inbound logistica. orgunizational operations. Outbound logistics, marketing and sales, and service were independent variables used Profitability (dependent variable) was employed in the analysis of data for selected companies in Cross River State. The result of the analyse revealed that inbound logistics (IL) has a positive but no significant impact on the profitability of selected mamfacturing firms in Cross river state, organizational operations (00, has a positne but not significant impact on the profitability of selected manufucturing firms in cross river state. Outbound logistics has a positive but not significant impact on profiabiliy of selected manufacturing firms in cross river state. Therefore, the study recommended manufacturing companies in cross river stale should engage more in value chain analysis as it helps to reduce cost, optimize effort, eliminate waste, improve profitability, and evaluate companies ,operations segment by segment to increase efficiency in every area.
