redemption, this research sheds light on the profound impact of negligence on
maternal roles familial dynamics, moreover, it explores how ward’s empathetic
storytelling serves as a platform to confront societal issues and advocate for greater
awareness and compassion towards the struggles of motherhood in contemporary
America. Through a synthesis of literary analysis and social commentary, this
