Abstract
The project addresses unauthorized vehicle parking challenges in institutional environments, including blocked access paths, lawn damage, and inefficient space utilization. Traditional methods like manual patrolling and stationary cameras are labor-intensive and lack real-time detection capabilities. The system combines YOLOv11 for vehicle detection and DeepSORT for tracking, processing video input to identify unauthorized parking based on predefined zone mappings. When violations are detected (vehicles remaining in unauthorized zones for over 10 seconds), automated email notifications are sent to security personnel. Testing achieved 95% detection accuracy with 28 frames per second processing speed. The system provides a cost-effective, environmentally friendly solution supporting Sustainable Development Goals by reducing unauthorized parking and protecting green spaces. Future enhancements include improved lighting support, automated zone updates, and real-world deployment optimization.
