Impact of Occupational Stress on Worker’s Productivity in an Organization

Abstract
ABSTRACT
Stress is a universal element and individuals in every walk of life have to face it. The employees working in different organizations have to deal with stress. This study examined impact of occupational stress on worker’s productivity in Nigerian banks with specific reference to first bank PLC. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data from twenty (20) respondents through purposive sampling techniques. Data collected was analyzed with aid of simple percentage, linear regression and person correlation. The result shows that all the components of stress cause great stress in bankers and then decrease their performance.
