Abstract
This study explores gamma interactions using the Geant4 simulation toolkit to analyze energy thresholds for various particles gamma, electron, positron, and proton across different materials, including Galactic, Cesium Iodide, Silicon, Tungsten, and Scintillator. The simulation results, presented in both tabular and graphical formats, reveal significant variations in interaction thresholds depending on material composition. Tungsten exhibited the highest resistance to gamma interactions, making it suitable for
radiation shielding, while the Scintillator demonstrated the lowest energy threshold,
highlighting its effectiveness in radiation detection applications. The study confirms the crucial role of material selection in optimizing radiation shielding and detection efficiency.
