Abstract
This research is focused on “banking in the hospitality industry”. In theory, many people
patronize the hospitality industry when the economy is buoyant thereby signifying a
positive correlation between the Nigeria situation The contributions of the hospitality
industry (represented by hotels and restaurants) to the Nigerian economy (represented
by the gross domestic product GDP) and the GDP itself from 2003– 2023 (20
years)were analyzed using simple regression analysis. Lag variables were introduced in
order to safeguard against autocorrelation while white noise heteroscedasticity tests
were performed in order to make the conclusions more reliable. It was found that
positive correlations exist between the hospitality industry and the GDP and that the
industry depends almost entirely on the economy thereby confirming a prior
expectation. What this means in effect is that for the hospitality industry to continue to
be relevant government must at all times ensure a stable but steadily rising economy.
The popularity of social networks correlated to their potential pro stability. As the
leading hospitality exchange network in terms of membership, couch surfing's, or
epitomizes technology’s ability to facilitate inspiring experiences between strangers
through a digital reputation system. By enabling accountability and preventing
remuneration these systems encourage conidial interaction and considerate behavior.
Each positive experience generates an appreciation for the community, propelling couch
surfing's success and creating what I refer to as a neo-human economy that values
social capital over scale capital
