Abstract
Efficient management of store and works department operations is essential for smooth institutional functionality. This project focuses on developing a robust Store and Works Department Management System for Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto, addressing the inefficiencies of the existing manual system, which relies on paper-based records prone to errors and delays. The proposed system, developed using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, automates processes such as inventory tracking, request management, and reporting, providing real-time updates and accurate record-keeping. With a user-friendly interface and features like role-based access control and automated reporting, the system streamlines workflows for administrators and departmental staff. Testing demonstrated its scalability, reliability, and compliance with institutional requirements, making it a sustainable solution for improving operational efficiency and meeting both current and future demands.
