Abstract
Abstract This study examines the role of entrepreneurial innovation on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Kano State. The primary objective is to assess how innovation in product development, business processes, and marketing strategies contributes to the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of SMEs. The study employs a descriptive survey research design, with data collected from selected SME operators through structured questionnaires. The findings reveal that entrepreneurial innovation significantly enhances productivity, market expansion, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability. However, challenges such as inadequate funding, lack of technical know-how, and poor access to modern technology hinder innovation adoption among SMEs in Kano State. The study concludes that innovation is a critical driver of SME success and recommends that business owners invest in research and development, adopt digital technologies, and engage in continuous skill improvement. Furthermore, government agencies and financial institutions should provide supportive policies and funding mechanisms that promote innovative practices among entrepreneurs.
