Abstract
ABSTRACT The study investigated the Effect of Guided Discovery in Practical Biology on Students’ Academic Achievement in Nassarawa Education Zone Kano State. The design of the study was quasi experimental, the pretest, posttest design. The population of the study comprised of 29,926 SS II Biology students out of which, a sample of 306 Biology students from four schools were used for the study, the sample was categorized into two groups; the experimental group consisting of (163) students and control group consisting of (163) students. A pretest was administered before the treatment to establish group similarity in their ability. The instruments used for data collection were Biology Practical Achievement Test (BPAT).
