The Effect of Quercetin on Erythrosine and Tartrazine Induced Depression Like Behaviour in Male Mice a Behavioural Approach

Abstract
This study investigated the ameliorative effects of quercetin and erythrosine, induced depression like behavior on mice (a behavioral approach). Fifly mice were divided into five groups of 10 mice per group. Control was given distilled water, negative control was given erythrosine and tartrazine (50mg/kg) while 50mg/kg and 100 mg/kg of quercetin w e r e administered to the test group, 50 mg/kg of vitamin C (positive control) for 28 days. After administration, the animals were euthanized under ketamine anaesthesia and sacrificed using spinal cord dislocation the brains were excised and sectioned.
