Social Media Policy and Consumer Purchase Behaviour Among Students of the University of Benin

Abstract
Consumers' spending habits as they relate to social media were the focus of the research. This study set out to determine how much of an impact students' use of social media had on their purchasing habits. This investigation made use of a survey research strategy. In this study, all undergraduates from the University of Benin in Benin City served as the population. The research utilised a convenience sample of 397 participants. In the analysis, Pearson's Correlation was utilised. The results showed that students' purchasing habits and decisions are affected by social media. Businesses and corporations should enhance their usage of social media to market their goods and services, according to the report. Also, they need to be creative all the time when it comes to using social media to provide customers additional value.
