Abstract
This paper deals with the design & analysis of the performance of redesigned three phase induction motor. This paper shows the practical step by step guidelines to recalculate the winding parameters to match a given stator core of a squirrel cage motor and the procedures to be taken when testing an induction motor. Using the set step by step methods in this work. The redesigned induction motor operation was stable and gave a near liner performance. This project was able to achieve a functional 3 phase 24 slot 4 pole single layer distributed winding or a relatively small stator core originally form a single phase induction motor. The project also gives some detailed explanation on the other winding types that can be used and some electronic components that can be used to control such motors.
