The study examines illegal mining and bunkering in Nigeria's Niger Delta (2010-2020). It reveals that these activities pose a significant challenge to the Nigerian economy, causing substantial revenue loss, environmental degradation, and insecurity. The activities are often perpetuated by a complex network of individuals driven by poverty and marginalization.
