Abstract
The study examines illegal mining and bunkering in Nigeria's Niger Delta (2010-2020). It reveals that these activities pose a significant challenge to the Nigerian economy, causing substantial revenue loss, environmental degradation, and insecurity. The activities are often perpetuated by a complex network of individuals driven by poverty and marginalization. The study recommends that the government implements stricter laws, enhances security, and addresses root causes like poverty and unemployment. The study examines illegal mining and bunkering in Nigeria's Niger Delta (2010-2020) to determine their impact on the economy and the challenges faced by the government.
