Abstract
ted were presented using pictures, tables and frequencies about the stone monoliths such as the origin of the monoliths, production techniques of the monoliths, meaning of symbols on the monoliths. The research finding also shows that the monoliths and the community and spatial information of the monoliths were obtained using various survey mechanisms including interviews with respondents and subsequent descriptive analysis of data. Moreso, relevant literature reviewed formed the empirical framework for the work. Theories such as systems, environmental, and cultural theories were used by the researcher to anchor the work and thus, support the concept of monoliths and tourism development. Finally, it was also observed that the information and results generated in the course of the study supports some of the global perceptions held about stone monoliths in parts of the world.
