Abstract
AbstractThis study examined the effect of teaching English language as a second language on academic performance of students in selected secondary school in Jalingo metropolis, Taraba State, Nigeria, The study adopted descriptive survey design. The target population for this study was (2400) students in public schools Jalingo metropolis of Taraba State. The sample of 120 was drawn randomly, self- develop instrument was use for this study which is questionnaire tagged effect of teaching English language as a second language on academic performance of students in selected secondary school in Jalingo metropolis (ETELASLAPS).
