Abstract
This is a report on the design, fabrication and performance evaluation of a crude oil centrifuge. This project shows how a crude oil centrifuge was made locally from local materials. The design of this project showcases a plastic rotor which would be connected directly to a motor which is supported by a stand. The machine is housed in a 40×50×30 cm wooden box. The machine includes a plastic spinning wheel molded from waste plastic using a clay mold, a stand, a 12V DC motor, a wooden container for storage of the machine and some electrical wiring.
