Abstract
ABSTRACTMalaria remains a significant public health burden, and the emergence of drug resistant Plasmodium falciparum strains necessitates the discovery of novel inhibitors. This study aimed to investigate the potential of Bridelia ferruginea phytochemicals as inhibitors of Plasmodium falciparum lactate dehydrogenase (PfLDH) in silico and evaluate their survival effects on Drosophila melanogaster. Bridelia ferruginea, a plant commonly used in traditional medicine, has been reported to possess antimalarial properties. A library of phytochemicals isolated from Bridelia ferruginea was screened for their ability to inhibit PfLDH
