Abstract
Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) is a highly perishable fruit widely consumed for its nutritional value and high water content. However, its susceptibility to microbial spoilage poses significant challenges to food safety and shelf-life, particularly under unhygienic handling and improper storage conditions.
