Abstract
This study investigate the impact of seasonality on restaurant operations, focusing
on how BUKGUEST HOUSE adapt to fluctuation s in customer demand, revenue, and
operationalcoststhroughouttheyear.Usingdatacollectedfrom acomprehensive
questionnairedistributedtoBUKGUESTHOUSE,theresearchhighlightskeytrendsin
how businessesmanagethechallengesassociatedwithseasonalchanges.The
findingsrevealthatBUKGuestHouseexperiencesignificantvariationsincustomer
footfallduringpeakseasons,particularlyinthesummer,whichdirectlyinfluences
revenue generation and operationalstrategies.Manyestablishments implement
seasonalmenuadjustments,flexiblestaffing,andpromotionalactivitiestomitigate
theimpactofoff-peakperiods.Thestudyalsouncoversthefinancialpressuresfaced
byrestaurantsduringpeaktimes,includingincreasedoperationalcostsandsupply
chaindisruptions.Despitethesechallenges,asignificantproportionofrestaurants
reportpositive outcomes from theiradaptation strategies and are planning to
introducenew measurestofurtheraddressseasonality.Thisresearchunderscores
theimportanceofproactivemanagementandstrategicplanninginnavigatingthe
effects ofseasonalityon restaurantoperations,providing valuable insights for
industrypractitionersseekingtoenhancetheirresilienceandprofitabilitythroughout
theyear.
