Abstract
This study was aimed to investigate the effects of aqueous root extract of Uvaria chamae, a medicinal plant widely used in African ethnomedicine, on uterine histology and reproductive function in female Wistar rats. Twenty eight healthy female rats average weight 123±33.5g were randomized into four groups (A–D)with 7 rats in each group. At the end of the treatment, uterine tissues were harvested for biochemical, hormonal(FSH, LH,and Prolactin) and histological analysis. Results showed no statistically significant changes (p < 0.05) in uterine glycogen and progesterone levels across all groups.
