Evaluation of the Physicochemical, in Vivo Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Palisota Hirsuta Ethanolic Extract Loaded Niosomal Gels

Abstract
This study evaluated the physicochemical, in vivo analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of Palisota hirsuta ethanolic extract loaded niosomal gels. Ethanolic leaf extract of Palisota hirsuta was prepared and subjected to phytochemical screening, revealing the presence of bioactive compounds. The extract was incorporated into niosomal gels which were then evaluated for physicochemical properties such as pH, spreadability, viscosity, and stability. In vivo studies using animal models demonstrated that both the extract and the niosomal formulations possessed significant analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities compared to controls. The results highlight the therapeutic potential of Palisota hirsuta when formulated in novel drug delivery systems such as niosomal gels.
